The corona pandemic is already starting to have consequences into the next competition season. The organizers of the Isle of Man TT announced that there will be no races in 2021 either, this is because of the uncertainty about future developments.
In a press release, they announce that:
” TT relies on thousands of volunteers and officials in a wide range of organizations and we can not responsibly work toward that date and commit ourselves to welcome tens of thousands of people to the island in June, despite the progress of vaccination programs globally and on the island. ”
” We evaluated all possible options, including moving the TT races to a date later in the year, but it is too complex and risky.”
” We are still hopeful that the Classic TT and Manx Grand Prix can take place later this year and we look forward to welcoming visitors to our island again.”
The new date is set for May 28 – June 11, 2022.
